Souffle

Well, it's been awhile since I've been here. I finally recovered from Betty Crocker. So, for Valentine's Day, I decided to tackle chocolate souffle. Much to my surprise, it was easy to prepare. The final product was way beyond my expectations. I was so pleased, I actually gave myself a pat on the back.

Fun Times

I haven't had much time to post because I've been very busy during the holidays. I was baking cooking and making candy and having all kinds of fun. For the holidays, Tim and Jen bought me a Kitchen Aid Commercial mixer. WooHoo..!! I've used it a couple of times and it's great. I recently purchased a Crockpot and am having fun with that. And now that we have a new digital camera, I'll be able to take more and better pictures.

Aunt Sara's Coffee Cake (Streusel Cake)

I came home from work tonight and instead of making dinner, I decided to bake a cake. This is one of my grandmother's recipes (really it's her sister's-in-law recipe (Aunt Sara)).

Weekend Cooking

This was a very busy weekend. I decided to try a bunch of different recipes. The funny part is, the new recipes were great, the one old recipe was a bomb. I don't know what went wrong, but the Russian Tea Cakes burned . . . twice..!! Anyway, I made these really awesome lemon sugar cookies. Very, very good. Then I prepared choc. chip mandel bread. Pretty good. I made a couple changes to my english toffee, what a difference. I'm very pleased.
